Dates
Exemptions have a limited period of validity defined by the from and to dates, not exceeding 1 year, but they may span calendar years.
- Exemptions should be submitted for the first time by the AO at least 3 months before the envisaged date of application of the exemption.
- The AA shall take a decision without undue delay at the latest 1 month before the date of application of the envisaged date of application of the exemption. (*)
(*) Where the AA asks for additional information or requests an amendment, the deadline for the AA shall be suspended until complete information or an amendment is provided by the AO.
Conditions to request an exemption
- You have saved it as a draft and are on the exemption detailed page
- All the fields are filled in
- The distance between the departure and arrival airports does not exceed 850km (or 1200km in case of an island not connected with road/rail).
States of an exemption request
- Draft: AO has created a request in draft mode. It's not visible to the AA.
- Submitted: AO has submitted the request and the AA can validate it
- Needs more info: AA has requested additional information or an amendment to the AO and the AO can now edit the submissions request.
- Withdrawn: AO has withdrawn the request before the AA could accept or reject
- Accepted: AA has accepted the request
- Rejected: AA has accepted the request
